Amsterdam is one of our favorite weekend breaks. It is very accessible and great for shopping.

Our first trip by car was with the Ferry (Stenna Line) from Harwich to Hoek van Holland. See fist pic. The ferry takes about 3,5 hours to cross the channel sailing at approx 70km per hour

We took the kids to Amsterdam for their first "educational" which they found quite interesting. Bottom left corner is La-Ryne standing in front of the most narrow house in Gouda. As you can see, by stretching her arms out she can touch both of the outside walls at once!

We also visited Keukenhof (Tulip attraction) with my folks in May 2000
