During the time when my parents visited us in July '01 we decided to take them to Paris and Brugge.

This town in  Belgium is often called "Venice of the north", because of the many canals running through it. It was the most important center of trade in  Northern Europe from the thirteenth to the fifteenth century

We were very impressed with this picturesque town with it's ancient walkways and pretty canals.

We had a an absolute stunning dinner at the "Ou pastorie"  or Old Vicarage restaurant, specialising in fresh sea food.
