Arriving in SA was in a sense experiencing a whole new country. It had changed so much since we have last been there. We got together with close friends and family in Pretoria and Johannesburg. We headed off to family in Hoedspruit, they really treated us like kings, visited the White Lion Game Reserve then off to the Buffulo farm and all was just amazing! Ate loads of biltong, had fresh leechies and mango's. After spending 4 days there, we headed for the long road to Cape St. Francis with Okkie's mom and dad, where we had the luxury of staying in his brother's beautiful holiday home just a few minutes walk to the beach. We drove through Tsetsikama in the Garden Route walked the woods and had Knysna oysters for lunch. It was great to see all the African art again! The smell of fresh fish from the ocean and the sea breezes was just enough to get us relaxed. We then headed off to Plettenbergbay, where we hired a lovely secluded log villa amongst trees and monkeys. White sandy beaches for mile. Tim and Lin from Bath joined us there for 2 weeks. Charlotte and Harry drove up from Cape Town to spend a few days, where we had Harry's special "flattie" (BBQ chicken), and just lazed around the pool. Drove to the beach for the morning, where the men would keep them occupied by flying kites and pouring the drinks. The girls just lazed around soaking up the sun. Alida also joined us for a weekend, we had a boat on the Keersboom river for the afternoon with lunch and champagne! We visited the Elephant farm, where we physically could touch and feed them. The time just went unbelievable quick! It was good to see all and we all had a great holiday. Thanks to all the FRIENDS and FAMILY for all their efforts and spending time with us!! We miss you all! Sandy & Okkie!
